Morriseys Creek boat ramp is one of the best creek ramps in the region. Consisting of 2 lanes of good quality concret ramp and a floating walkway pontoon, this ramp is accessable to boats of almost sizes. Morrisys creek itself is also a good deep creek, that can mostly be navigated on all tides.
The turnoff to Morriseys is a left had turn just after cross the Haughton River (when heading south). Most of the road is sealed except for the last few km. The road in is maintained by Burkedin Shire, and is regularly graded. However, during the wet season and heavy rains, sections become difficult to pass with water over the road.
From the mouth of Morriseys there is easy access to Bowlingeen Bay. The mouth does have large sand bars that exten a fair way seaward, but a channel does exist that is usable on most tides.
Parking is on the dirt, but there is plent of space. However, on really busy days it can be necessary to park on the side of the road leading in. There is also a drop toilet that is usually clean and usable. The ramp does have solar lighting and there are under cover seating areas.
